Intelligent Systems Research Progress Workshop (ISRP-14)

The KES2014 Intelligent Systems Research Workshop is a one-day workshop taking place during the KES2014 conference.

Work-in-progress papers on all aspects of intelligent systems are invited from research students (doctoral and masters students) more senior researchers, members of faculty and anyone wishing to bring their work to attention of the research community. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to participate to those who were too late for submission to the main conference tracks.

Presentation and Publication

Accepted papers will be presented orally or as posters in the dedicated workshop session. Papers will be published in a volume of 'Advances in Smart Systems Research' in the KES Open Access Library (KOALA), and online open access archive, making them widely available to the research community.

Workshop papers are not included in the main conference Elsevier Procedia proceedings.

Submission and Review of Papers

Papers for the Work in progress workshop must be formatted according to the instructions to be found .. here .. as PDF documents for review. If accepted, a full set of publication files must be provided.

Papers (guide length 4-6 pages) should be submitted via the dedicated online submission channel available .. here ..

Papers will be subjected to an appropriate level of review and accepted or rejected on the basis of quality and relevance to the conference.

Publication Files

When the PDF copy of the paper has been accepted you will receive an email asking for the publication files. At this point the following files are required:-

-- A full set of word-processor files for the camera-ready paper, in MS Word or LaTeX, including all image files necessary to fully reproduce it
-- A PDF copy of the full paper, made from these source files, with all comments and page numbering removed
-- A summary of the paper, about 100-200 words in length, as a TEXT file.

Please ensure that these files:-

-- do not have page numbers
-- are formatted for A4 page size NOT Amercian letter size
-- are error free and camera ready in all respects.

Registration

Each paper to be presented at the workshop must have at least one author who has registered and paid the fee.

Conditions of Submission

By submitting a paper for the conference you undertake that, if the paper is accepted, you will pay the fee, attend the conference, and present the paper.

By submitting a paper you also indicate that you accept the KES Terms and Conditions, available on the conference website, and that you agree to abide by them.
